Keijo Lehtimäki – Photographer from Kuusamo

I moved from Southern Finland to Kuusamo in 2019, and at the same time discovered a new direction in my photography. I studied nature photography at Kuusamo College and later media studies at Lappia, graduating as a professional photographer in 2024.

Photography quickly became more than just a passion – it became my profession.

Authentic moments over perfection

For me, the most important thing in photography is atmosphere and authenticity.

I don’t aim to overstage images, but rather to capture what feels natural and true to the moment.

I work in a calm and easygoing way, always listening to the client’s wishes – so the final result looks and feels right.

In my free time, I often head out into nature with my camera – especially drawn to the night sky, sunrises, and sunsets.

Equipment

I use professional-grade equipment, including Nikon Z9 and Z8 cameras along with a versatile range of lenses.

For aerial photography, I use a DJI Mavic 4 Pro drone.
